Primordial storm 1998 - Oil on canvas 80x70 cm

The sky is full of clouds charged with energy, the earth is red hot. The rain represented in the centre of the painting will bring harmony between the sky and earth and is represented by the sign of Taiji, which symbolises equilibrium. This work fully develops the poetic dematerialisation of the Taoist vision. We are at the beginning of the cooling of our planet, over a million years ago.  The earth is covered with red hot magma, the sky is full of water.  The water will fall on the earth, cooling the magna and creating conditions for life:  this is represented by helicoids which cut the work on the diagonal, symbolising the DNA helix of future life.
